Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with Halloween. I love all things spooky and scary. Broomsticks, black cats, and spooky ghosts make my heart happy. I started a tradition last year that I want to continue for a long time; a Halloween party! I already loved decorating for Halloween and watching horror movies, but hosting a Halloween party makes me beyond excited!
DECOR

My roommate and I go a little crazy with spider webs. One $3 pack of webs can go a long way! We made the apartment super spooky by covering some of our wall decor with webs and spiders. I also made some of my own wall decor to put in some of our empty frames. One of them just says "BOO" with tons of bats on it and the other one says, "eat, drink, and be scary" because I thought that summed up a Halloween party pretty well! One of my favorite Halloween decor pieces that I own is my Jack Skellington pillow! I got it last year at a Halloween store and I thought it went pretty well with my "boo" blankets that I have had forever (I am pretty much obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas). I think they made my couches look super cute but Halloween-y at the same time! Another favorite decoration of mine is the caution tape that we put on a bunch of the doors in the apartment. I thought it was such a cute touch to give the doors some decorations as well. We also have quite the collection of orange, green, and purple lights to put all over our apartment for Halloween. We put them pretty much everywhere and turned all the real lights off to make the lighting a little more spooky. Most of the other wall decorations, and little trinkets like the stick on spiders, the glittery pumpkins, and the banners were from the Target dollar spot. Target is the BEST place to shop for all things Halloween!
FOOD & DRINK

I really didn't go all out for food and drinks like I did last year. I invited a lot less people this year and just kept it to some close friends. I tried to make the food table spooky to compensate for the lack of Halloween themed treats by scattering some decorative skulls, some more purple lights, and some Halloween-y stand up signs that say things like "trick or treat!" I bought some Halloween candy that I served in some cardboard buckets, some cookies that I served in a mini coffin, and some Halloween snack mix with pretzels, candy corn, and Bone Cheetos. As you can see, I didn't make much of an effort to make my typical go all out Halloween treats, but instead I served them in Halloween-themed serving-ware! The best part about my party was how we served drinks! We, of course, had to have some Halloween themed cups and paper straws! The “Drink up, Witches” cups are so cute and I’m so glad my roommate found them! We also used some beakers and test tubes from target to serve some drinks in, but the best part was the syringe shot glasses! They were so fun and such a creative idea to serve drinks for a Halloween party!
FRIENDS

My favorite part of the party was obviously hanging out with friends. It was a costume party, but most people went for more funny/cute costumes than scary ones! You wouldn't believe how comfy it is wearing a onesie to a party! Thank you so much to everyone who came, I had a lot of fun and I hope you did too!!
Happy Halloween, stay scary!! Thanks for reading :)
