When I was a kid, my family would travel to Myrtle Beach for a family reunion. We haven't gone to the reunion in years because Myrtle Beach is so far away and it was hard to get everyone in my family together for a trip in the middle of October. I am so happy to say we made it to the reunion this year and I had the most amazing time!

My family and I were surprised to see how close the water was to our hotel. We are used to vacationing in Ocean City Maryland where the sand stretches pretty far before you get to the water. It was amazing to be able to watch the water from our balcony! One of my favorite things to do while in Myrtle Beach was to have a cup of tea in the morning and watch the waves from the balcony. We had pretty crappy weather while we were there, so rather than tanning, we took a couple of walks on the beach. We found some really pretty shells and rocks on our beach walk adventures!

I can't go to the beach without eating my weight in ice cream while I am there. I had a big bowl of soft-serve at the Golden Corral which was amazing but my favorite was the Ben & Jerry's ice cream! I love Ben & Jerry's from the grocery store but it tasted even better in the little ice cream shop. Let me tell you, the cookies and milk flavor is sooo good! We also took advantage of the tiki bar that was outside of our hotel. When I think tiki bar, I think more tropical drinks so i went for a mango daiquiri and some tequila sunrises! They were awesome and I loved being in the tiki bar environment with tons of family surrounding me! My sister and I stopped for breakfast before we left for the beach and I am so glad we did! We stopped at a place called Johnny Waffles and Bakery and I got a cinnamon roll waffle. I think it was the best waffle I have ever had, it was sooo good! My siblings and I spent an evening walking on the boardwalk and I couldn't not take some pictures of the little shops and restaurants. The bright colors and beach vibes make me so happy!

I have the most amazing memories of the Ripley's aquarium in Myrtle Beach from when i was a kid. Don't get me wrong, I love the Baltimore aquarium, but Ripley's has a tunnel where sharks, fish, and sea turtles swim right over your head! It is so amazing to be that close to these animals and I got the coolest pictures of them! We spent a lot of time in the tunnel taking as many pictures as possible and watching sharks swim over our heads. While that was my favorite part, I loved all the other rooms too! These are just a few of the pictures of the amazing animals I saw, you'd be here all day if I included them all! Another little thing I loved about this aquarium was that in the little cafe, the drinking straws had little turtles on them! I thought that was the cutest little touch.

My favorite thing about this trip was spending time with my family. It is so rare that all 6 of us are in the same place at the same time just hanging out together. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my siblings and my parents. I also had a great time hanging out with my mom's sisters and my grandpa! I don't get to see them as often as I would like to so it was so nice spending time with them at the beach. My grandpa is the goofiest guy I know and every time I see him we have to take a face swap picture! Along with family I already know and love, I also got to spend time with family I have never really gotten the chance to know as an adult. It was awesome to see how much love was there between family members who hadn't seen each other in years! It warmed my heart and I hope to stay connected with them in the future!
